Air Jordan 1

A rule breaker from the very beginning, the Nike Air Jordan 1 first graced the court on the feet of their namesake, Michael Jordan, in 1985. One of the league’s most popular players, Jordan was heavily sought after by brands, but only Nike was willing to design a sneaker just for him. As legend would have it, Nike finally won out, crafting a model to meet Jordan’s specifications. The result was the Air Jordan 1, a sneaker that was low to the ground with ankle support and an Air-Sole unit for cushioning. The first color combo worn by MJ has been dubbed the “banned” version, as the black and red sneakers violated the NBA’s uniform rules. While MJ was actually wearing the Nike Air Ship when the NBA warned him of the violation, Nike’s marketing machine jumped all over this when they released the Jordan 1 to the masses – setting the sneaker apart as one for rebels and tastemakers everywhere.

Jordan Retro 1 Styles

On-court footwear and street-savvy kicks collided on the Air Jordan Retro 1, which started a trend in basketball shoes that would prevail for decades. Timeless in design and with legendary details like the Air Jordan wings logo, the Jordan 1 remains one of the most sought-after sneakers today. There’s a reason you see Retro 1s on the feet of stylish people from all walks of life—because the Jordan 1 is an essential, statement-making sneaker. Iconic colorways like black and red, all white, and all black have a crisp, classic look, while newer colors and materials take the simple high-top to new heights.

The Air Jordan 1 isn’t just a high-top – there are low top and mid-top versions, too. Sneaker fans can scoop up the Jordan 1 High OG, Jordan 1 Mid, or Jordan 1 Low editions and wear them pretty much everywhere. From infants and toddlers to girls’, boys’ and women's, Jordan 1 fans of all ages can find one in their size. Jordan 1s continue to reign supreme on the streets, paying homage to the past while turning things up a notch with new materials, treatments, and colorways. Cop a pair for rebel spirit and plenty of clean, hoops-inspired good looks.
