When is my state's sales tax holiday?

Back to school supply lists are out and luckily for you, it's also sales tax free holiday season. How is sales tax calculated?

Talking taxes can be a touchy subject but rest easy knowing that Finish Line follows all state and local laws and regulations pertaining to sales tax. We charge applicable sales tax on all merchandise purchased in states where we have stores.

Just a heads up, some states require us to collect sales tax on the shipping charges as well. In those states, sales tax will be calculated on the purchase price of the merchandise plus the shipping charges.

What forms of payment do you accept online?

Unfortunately, brownie points, monopoly money, and good deeds are not yet recognized as a valid form of payment. Fortunately, Finish Line currently accepts debit cards, all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover card), PayPal, and Finish Line gift cards as forms of online payment. At this time we do not accept international credit cards as a form of payment.

Customers can use Finish Line gift cards online. Please enter the Gift Card number on the billing information page along with the pin number located on the back of the card (you may need to scratch off for the pin, so it's kind of like a lottery where you're guaranteed to win something). After you apply the gift card to your Order Total, you may enter your credit card information to pay the remainder of the balance.

If the Gift Card covers the Order Total amount, it is not necessary to enter your credit card information and you may proceed to the next step (lucky you!). If you have a Gift Card that does not have a pin number on the back please call 888-777-3949 for assistance.

What if I do not have a credit card?

Finish Line will accept purchases made with a debit card as long as it has the Visa or Master Card logos. PayPal is another accepted form of payment. However, if none of these options apply, please visit one of our stores to pay with cash, check or money order.

When is my credit card charged?

Rest easy, you are not charged for your purchase until your order starts the journey towards your front door.

When an order is first placed with Finish Line, we contact your card's issuing bank to confirm that your credit card has a valid number and has not been reported as lost or stolen. This communication is done by completing an authorization for the full amount of the order. When the authorization is done, this will place a pending hold on the account for the amount of the order. Your credit card will be charged once your order has shipped.

So that means sometimes we impress ourselves and ship out your order before the pending hold goes away. And suddenly you've got a charge on your account on top of this pending hold. Don't panic! Just contact your bank to confirm that one of those is a reserve of funds and ask them how long it usually takes for these pending holds to go away. It can vary from bank to bank but if you request that they verify and then remove any extra authorizations to free up funds, they're usually pretty accommodating (like us). Seriously, come on, we would never just take your hard-earned money.

What if my gift card does not have a PIN number?

If you have a Gift Card that does not have a PIN number on the back, please call Customer Care at 888-777-3949 for assistance. We know it's pesky like when you have an assembly-required project that's missing a piece. No worries though, Customer Care has that nail you need.

Product availability will determine when the items in your order will ship. Orders with one or more items may be shipped from separate locations. All Finish Line orders are shipped via UPS.
The availability estimate on each item's product information page refers only to how long it will take to process the order. In transit times will vary based on the order's final destination.

How can I ship to a PO Box?
Based on agreements between the US Post Office (USPS) and UPS, UPS can deliver to USPS owned property via the Economy shipping method only. Please enter your PO Box in the Apt/Suite line on the shipping page.

Why can't I ship to an APO/FPO Box
Finish Line uses United Parcel Service (UPS) to ship products to our customers. Based on agreements between the US Post Office (USPS)and United Parcel Service (UPS), UPS cannot make deliveries to USPS-owned property. If you have an APO box, please make arrangements to have your Finish Line purchase delivered to a physical address where UPS is authorized to deliver. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Multiple Item Orders
In order to show an expanded inventory online, Finish Line may ship some of the items listed online from one of our nationwide retail stores. Because of this, items in your order may be shipped from separate locations. On certain items, Finish Line reserves the right to restrict product quantities per order at their discretion.

Drop Ship Items
Certain items we offer for sale may be shipped directly from the manufacturer to you. Currently, these items may only be shipped by Economy method of delivery. Please note, estimated delivery ranges for Drop Ship Items shipped by Economy may vary from our standard estimated delivery ranges for Economy method of delivery.

If an order contains Drop Ship Items and non-Drop Ship Items, the order will be shipped in multiple packages, with the estimated time of delivery determined by whether or not the item to be delivered is a Drop Ship Item. You may receive separate shipment notifications in this case. Drop Ship Items are not available for delivery to Alaska or Hawaii at this time.

There are no shipping and handling fees for the delivery of orders containing Drop Ship Items. The delivery time-frames you see at checkout are estimates only and are based on the method of delivery, include both processing time and the time your item is in transit and start the day after the order is placed. Order fulfillment processing times may vary based on product availability.
