What is STATUS Exclusive Access (SEA)?
Access hot drops before launch day. No lines. No queues. No questions.
STATUS members are invited to redeem STATUS Points in the STATUS Rewards Catalog to purchase select sneakers in-store or online before they’re released to the public.
STATUS members who successfully redeem their STATUS Points to gain SEA reserve their pair ahead of the sneaker release date. In-store events require in-store pickup at participating JD or Finish Line store locations on the sneaker release date. Digital pre-order events are shipped to the member’s home address on sneaker release date.
How can I get STATUS Exclusive Access?
You’ll need to be a STATUS member to get STATUS Exclusive Access.
And the more you engage with JD & Finish Line as a STATUS member, the better chance you have of getting SEA. We use 33+ points of data to identify STATUS members who we can extend STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offers to.

Despite there being ways to increase your chances of getting STATUS Exclusive Access, there is no way to guarantee STATUS Exclusive Access for every launch.
Do I need STATUS Points to claim STATUS Exclusive Access?
Generally, yes. If you receive a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer, you’ll be asked to redeem STATUS Points to redeem the Reward. The number of STATUS Points needed to redeem will vary.
So get those STATUS Points! Shop with JD Sports (in the U.S.) and Finish Line in-stores, online and on the mobile apps using your STATUS loyalty number to gain points and increase your chances.
Can I create multiple STATUS accounts for a better chance of getting STATUS Exclusive Access?
No. You’re allowed only one STATUS account. Period.
If you set up multiple STATUS accounts, JD Finish Line may suspend or terminate all of your STATUS accounts and may prohibit you from signing up for STATUS in the future. Without a STATUS account, you’ll be unable to get STATUS Exclusive Access.
Will there still be Product Reservations?
No. Online product reservations are a thing of the past..
STATUS Exclusive Access rewards select STATUS members with a better chance of gaining access to hot drops.
How is STATUS Exclusive Access different from Product Reservations?
Product Reservations used a randomized process for giving access to hot drops. Any customer could try to reserve a sneaker for purchase and the chances of getting a reservation were slim for everyone, given the number of customers competing for the reservation.
STATUS Exclusive Access is selective, available only to select STATUS members who are given the exclusive chance to reserve shoes for purchase before they’re released. STATUS Exclusive Access is powered by ://B0TFR33 technology. We use 33+ points of data to identify our most engaged STATUS members.
Which stores participate in STATUS Exclusive Access?
The participating JD Sports (in the U.S.) and Finish Line stores will vary in each instance.
How do I find out if my store is participating in STATUS Exclusive Access?
You’ll be notified via email and mobile app notification if your preferred JD Sports or Finish Line store is participating.

How far in advance should I expect to get notified that I get a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer?
Keep your JD Sports and Finish Line mobile app notifications on and continue to check your email to make sure you know ASAP when a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer has been made to you.
STATUS Exclusive Reward offers will be made within 48 hours before the Sneaker Release Date.
What happens if I miss my chance at redeeming a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer?
STATUS Exclusive Access Rewards are available on a limited basis in each instance. So, you may miss out on redeeming a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer if other STATUS members redeem their STATUS Points for the Reward before you do.
If you miss your chance at redeeming a STATUS Exclusive Reward offer, you can try to cop the sneakers again on Sneaker Release Date. Sneaker Release Dates are listed on JD Sports Sneaker Release Calendar and Finish Line Sneaker Release Calendar and purchases can be made through our JD Sports and Finish Line websites or on our JD Sports or Finish Line apps.
What happens if my size isn’t available with a STATUS Exclusive Access offer?
When you receive a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer, you’ll have the opportunity to reserve the dropped sneaker in a particular size (subject to availability).
If the size you want is no longer available, you can try to cop the sneakers again on the Sneaker Release date. Sneaker Release Dates are listed on JD Sports Sneaker Release Calendar and Finish Line Sneaker Release Calendar and purchases can be made through our JD Sports and Finish Line websites or on our JD Sports or Finish Line apps.
What payment methods can I use to buy my reserved sneakers at a STATUS Exclusive Access Events?
If a STATUS Exclusive Event is in-store, you can pay with any form of payment accepted in stores.
If a STATUS Exclusive Event is online, you can pay only with major credit cards.
What if I can't make it in-store to purchase my reserved SEA sneakers on the designated date/time?
STATUS Exclusive Access Events are on specified dates and during specified times. If you can’t make a STATUS Exclusive Access Event, you’ll forfeit the dropped sneaker you reserved (and the STATUS Points you used to redeem for the offer). No exceptions will be made.
Can I change my size after I redeemed my STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer?
Once you redeem your STATUS Exclusive Access Reward, your selected shoe size cannot be changed.
What happens once I redeem a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer?
If you successfully redeemed a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer, you’ll receive an SEA confirmation email of your redemption within 24 hours. The SEA confirmation email will be sent to the email address associated with your STATUS account (so keep your STATUS Profile updated).
The SEA confirmation email will provide details on how to cop the reserved sneaker.
For in-store STATUS Exclusive Access Events, you’ll be told the location, date and time frame for where and when you can purchase your reserved sneakers.
For online STATUS Exclusive Access Events, you’ll be given directions on how and when you can pre-order your reserved sneakers. Once you complete your pre-order, your order will be shipped on the release date and you’ll be given confirmation regarding shipment details for your reserved sneakers. You will not be charged until sneakers have shipped.
Can I pick up my sneakers reserved through STATUS Exclusive Access at any location?
No. For in-store STATUS Exclusive Access Events, you can only pick up your sneakers at the location specified in the SEA confirmation email you receive after you redeem a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer.
Do I need to bring anything with me in-store to purchase my reserved sneakers?
Yes. You must bring the following items to purchase your reserved sneakers:
- The SEA confirmation email you received after you redeemed a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer for the particular drop;
- A valid, government-issued or school-issued photo ID (the name on the photo ID must match the name on your STATUS account);
- A method of payment that is accepted in-stores.
If you do not bring the required items, you could forfeit your chance to cop your reserved shoe.
Can I get my sneakers reserved through STATUS Exclusive Access before the Sneaker Release Date?
No. Although you have reserved your pair ahead of the release date, you will not be able to pick-up or receive the shoe ahead of that date.
Can I redeem a STATUS Exclusive Access Reward for more than one pair of sneakers?
No. You can only redeem one STATUS Exclusive Access Reward for one pair of sneakers in one size (subject to availability).
What happens if my reserved sneakers for a redeemed Status Exclusive Access offer are not available?
Unfortunately, things don’t always go as planned.
If it so happens that the sneakers you reserved through STATUS Exclusive Access are not available for purchase as expected, the STATUS Points you used to redeem the STATUS Exclusive Access Reward offer will be refunded to your STATUS account and JD Finish Line will use best efforts to communicate with you about the canceled reservation.
Some additional things to know about STATUS Exclusive Access:
Available SEA spots are limited. Not all STATUS members who receive a SEA Reward invite will successfully be able to reserve the dropped sneaker.
The date and time frame for a STATUS Exclusive Access pick-up & shipment details will be relayed via an email within 24 hours after you redeemed for the STATUS Exclusive Access Reward.
If a qualifying STATUS member can’t make the in-store pickup date/time to secure their STATUS Exclusive Access sneaker, they’ll forfeit the sneaker they reserved (and the STATUS Points they used to redeem the STATUS Exclusive Access offer).
STATUS members will not receive every SEA Reward invite or be invited to every single SEA Event. Each sneaker launched through SEA uses 33+ points of data to identify STATUS members who qualify for that particular launch.
