The Retro 9 makes its return. Features a dynamic-Fit inner bootie, encapsulated Air-Sole unit in the forefoot, large volume Air-Sole unit in the heel, a polyurethane midsole and a one-pull lacing system. The Air Jordan Retro IX represented the globalization of the Air Jordan brand name.

The AJ Retro 9 contains 5 words from many different languages on each shoe. Left Shoe: cnopt (russian)= sport, uhuru (swahili)= independence, CBO?O?a (russian)= freedom, athletisch (german)= athletic, muundaji (swahili)= hope. Right Shoe: dØdiØ (french)= dedicated, fuerza (spanish)= force, intenso (italian)= intense, libertØ (french)= freedom, anmutig (german)= graceful.
