What is Finish Line’s return policy?


We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and we've got your back if you want to return something. Here's what you need to know if you want to return an item :
 
  • From the date of purchase customers are provided 45 days to attempt a return.
  • After 45 days, items may not be returned for any reason.
  • The merchandise should be in unworn conditions.
  • Orders may be returned to your local Finish Line store or by mail.
  • Shipping charges are not refunded for return items.
*NOTE:  Items purchased from FinishLine.com can only be returned to a Finish Line store. Finish Line stores inside of Macy's do not accept returns from FinishLine.com. 

How do I return a purchase?


We offer the following two methods for Finishline.com returns—because, hey, we all need options:
 
  • By mail
  • To a Finish Line* store

Can I make a return at a store?


Don't want to deal with return shipping? You can definitely return items to your local Finish Line* store. Check out the information below to get started.   Use the Finish Line store locator on the website to find your local Finish Line store and have the following materials with you when you go.  
 
1. Your original packing slip ​
2. The item(s) in unworn condition. ​

 
  • ​​Footwear items must have the original box
  • Apparel items must have the original tags (unless problems in manufacturing exist)
3. Your original form of payment. PayPal, PayPal Credit and debit card purchases are refunded in cash.
4. Authorization numbers are not required for return to your local store.
5. A valid photo ID

ID Requirements

Finish Line has an authorization system that keeps track of customer returns. Information from your ID will be retained in a company-wide database of customer return activity that Finish Line and its affiliates use to authorize in-store returns. We reserve the right to limit returns or exchanges in our stores regardless of receipt or packing slip.
 

IDs Finish Line Accepts for Return


Sorry, your library card isn't going to cut it. Finish Line currently accepts the following forms of ID for returns.
 
• U.S. or Canadian Driver’s License
• U.S. State ID
• Canadian Providence ID
• U.S. Military ID
• Mexican Voter Registration Card or Passport
 

Returns for Winners Circle Members


When merchandise is being returned that was applied to your winner’s circle account to accumulate rewards points, the point value will be deducted from your Winners Circle account at the time of the return. After 45 days, items may not be returned for any reason.

How do I return an item by mail?


Maybe you don't live near one of our stores, or you just prefer to ship items back. Whatever the reason, check out the tips below to ensure a smooth process. Online purchases may be returned back to the address provided.

1. Contact Customer Care for Return Authorization
You can contact Customer Care at the following number to obtain authorization for your return.

2. After Customer Care provides the authorization number please place it in the space provided under the return policy guidelines on your packing slip shown below:



3. Ship Your Items Back To Us
When shipping merchandise for return please prepare the package with the following information:

 
1. Your original packing slip
2. Authorization numbers
3. The item(s) in unworn condition

 
  • Footwear items must have the original box
  • Apparel items must have the original tags (unless problems in manufacturing exist)
We suggest that you select a shipper (UPS, FedEx, USPS) where you can track and insure the package for its full value in case something happens to the shipment. Finish Line is not responsible for return products in transit.

4. Look for the Refund
Once the order has been processed for return you can expect a refund based on your original form of payment. Please review the timelines provided to receive your refund. An email confirmation will be sent notifying of you that the credit has been processed. Your shipping charge will also be refunded If Finish Line has mistakenly sent you the wrong items or the item is defective.

Can I return merchandise that has been worn?


Merchandise not working out? We are sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, normal wear and tear is not warrantied on any merchandise. So, if your dog gets a hold of your new Jordans, there's not a lot we can do. Here's some more helpful info:
 
  • Exchanges on worn merchandise can only be made when the damage is caused by a manufacturer's defect
  • Items cut or sliced by sharp objects cannot be exchanged
  • After 45 days, items may not be returned for any reason
  • Shipping charges are not refunded for return items.
